Hi, I'm Anna
As a dietitian, I meet many different people, each with their own story and health challenges that can affect everyday life.
I believe that good guidance starts with genuine care and attention. That’s why I combine scientific knowledge with a personal and empathetic approach. Behind every question or concern is a unique story, and it is that story that helps me work with you to find an approach that truly fits your life.
My background
My interest in health began at a young age, although I didn’t know then that I would become a dietitian. As a young girl, I moved from Poland to the Netherlands. Learning a new language, adapting to a different culture, and finding my way in an unfamiliar country taught me resilience. At the same time, I discovered how different food habits and healthcare systems can be. I experienced how valuable it is when someone takes the time to truly listen and help you find your way. That experience is something I carry with me in my work every day. It is extremely important to me that my clients feel heard, understood, and taken seriously.
Where Science Meets Coaching
During my studies, I discovered my passion for clinical dietetics. I could spend hours learning about the physiology of health and disease. What happens in the body? Why do some people develop symptoms while others don’t?
Throughout my career, I discovered that my strength lies in bringing two worlds together. On the one hand, I love exploring the science behind disease and understanding what is happening in the body. On the other, I have a strong passion for coaching, communication, and building a trusting relationship with my clients.
When I Became a Patient Myself
A few years ago, my own life unexpectedly came to a standstill after a life-threatening health event. What followed was a long journey of seeking answers, exploring different approaches, and finding what could help me feel better. I wanted to move forward, but my body had other plans. That journey taught me that health is rarely black and white. There isn’t always one single cause or one single solution. I discovered how much of a difference the right nutrition and lifestyle can make when they truly align with your body and your individual needs.
Along the way, I saw how factors such as blood sugar, exercise, nutritional deficiencies, and meal patterns can influence how we feel and function. I learned how blood sugar levels can affect much more than glucose alone, and how stabilizing them can influence your energy, mood, and focus. I discovered that more exercise isn’t always better and can sometimes do more harm than good. I also came to understand how identifying and addressing nutritional deficiencies can make a world of difference to your energy and resilience. And while some people feel their best with three meals a day, others may feel better eating more frequently throughout the day.
Tailored Support
I don’t believe in perfect meal plans, strict rules, or quick fixes. To me, a personalized approach means looking together at what is realistic and right for you. I listen, think along with you, and translate scientific insights into practical advice that you can genuinely use in everyday life. Sometimes, this means making small adjustments to your current eating habits. For others, it may mean taking a completely different approach to nutrition and learning to look at food and health in a new way.
How I Support You
Maybe you recognize yourself in one or more of these situations...
You’ve been experiencing symptoms for a while and want to better understand how nutrition and lifestyle may be playing a role.
You’ve received different pieces of advice and find it difficult to know what is right for you.
You feel like there may be more going on, but you’re not sure where to start.
You know what a healthy lifestyle looks like, but find it difficult to put it into practice.
You’re looking for someone who listens, thinks along with you, and helps you explore what works for you.
You’re not looking for a temporary meal plan, but for lasting change.
If this sounds familiar, I’d be happy to help. Together, we’ll look at the bigger picture and find an approach that works for you.
I also combine nutritional guidance with principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Because knowing what is healthy is one thing. Putting it into practice and making lasting changes is often the real challenge.
Who I Work With
You’re welcome to work with me if you’re looking for personalized guidance and someone who truly takes the time to understand your situation.
Whether you’re dealing with digestive complaints, diabetes, a thyroid condition, cardiovascular disease, emotional eating or concerns around weight, together we’ll find an approach that fits your body, your lifestyle, and your goals.
I also welcome clients with a migration background. Having moved from Poland to the Netherlands myself, I understand that navigating a new healthcare system can sometimes feel challenging. I know how important it is to have someone who takes the time to listen, explain things clearly, and make sure you feel understood.
That’s why I offer consultations in Dutch, Polish and English. To ensure clear communication and provide you with the best possible guidance, it is important that you have a good understanding of at least one of these languages.
ABOUT ME
My mission is to help people who, just like me, face health challenges and are looking for someone to stand by their side.
Because sometimes, we all need someone to help us see things more clearly...
